Investment Manager - Deals
UOIC is looking for Talents for the position of Investment Manager.

Job Purpose
To manage the evaluation of investment opportunities, and the execution of selected private equity transactions. To lead deal sourcing efforts and take leadership of origination and evaluation of opportunities. To ensure the suitability of each transaction, the portfolio fit, and compliance with related policies.

Roles & Responsibilities
Investment Process

• Lead investment transactions, due diligence exercises, feasibility studies, and project identification andconceptualization
• Locate and explore good deals, and assess their suitability & attractiveness against UOIC strategy andobjectives
• Lead the due diligence process, directing advisors on areas for further work and ensuring that material due diligence findings are managed and appropriately reported to senior management and to the IC
• Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to support underwriting of potential investment opportunities
• Create detailed financial models, investment analyses, and valuation models to support evaluation of investment opportunities
• Lead the deal documentation process, with consultation with Legal and external consultants, to ensure that negotiated deal terms and structure as presented to the IC (Investment Committee) are adequately documented in final deal documentation, and UOIC gets the best possible terms
• Implement appropriate project management of transactional activities, and ensure execution is within budget and agreed timelines
• Provide technical expertise in ensuring all data/analyses put forward are reliable enough to makerecommendations

Organizational and Interdepartmental Duties
· Ensure compliance with the Code of Ethics & Standards of Business Conduct
· Preparation of reports and presentations to senior management, Investment Committee, and BoD (Board of Directors)
· Database management: Maintain documents and materials in updated and organized matter
· Provide input for audit, asset valuation, compliance and risk analysis, etc
· Communicate effectively with all internal and external counterparties
· Work effectively as a team member to achieve department and company objectives
· Show high level of drive and commitment to achieve assigned tasks
· Work effectively with other members of the investment department and with other support functions within UOIC (finance, audit, compliance, legal, HR)
· Optimize the use of personal and team time / effort in carrying out assigned duties, to ensure work meets agreed standards for timeliness and quality
· Handle related assignments as required

Requirements
· Master’s or bachelor’s degree Specialization in Finance, Economics, Accounts or relevant field.
· Specialization related certification is preferred (CFA, ACCA, CPA).
· Minimum 10 years of related experience.
· Fluency in English, Russian, and Uzbek.
· Proven ability to successfully lead and manage others with ability to work in cross-functional teams and successfully manage projects to completion.
· Demonstrated ability to deliver executive-level presentations, including the ability to simplify and explain complex problems to different audiences.
· Ability to thrive in fast moving high growth environment, balancing multiple challenging priorities on tight deadlines in a high pressure setting.
· Proven history of being an independent contributor.
· Possess knowledge of investment principles, financial markets, accounting, tax, and regulatory environments.
· Strong financial modelling and valuation skills.
· Advanced MS Office experience is essential. Experience with business related software is desirable.

Interviews are conducted by the panel members. Usually interview panel members are the head or representatives of the departments where the perspective employee will interact mostly.

Multiple choice questions or case study interviews can be held depending on position that candidate is being considered.

Interview results are usually given during two weeks after interview only for successful candidates.
